2011 Domaine de Tara Côtes du Ventoux Terre d’Ocres Blanc
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Ventoux $NA

“A blend of Grenache Blanc and Clairette, the 2011 Domaine de Tara Côtes du Ventoux Terre d‟Ocres Blanc is a rocking white that offers up loads of citrus laced minerality, lime, and orange rind aromas and flavors to go with a medium-bodied, racy, and yet classy palate. While there is lot of acidity here, it has depth and balance as well. Enjoy it over the coming 2-3 years. (89 pts.)

2011 Domaine de Tara Côtes du Ventoux Terre d’Ocres
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Ventoux $NA

“Earthy, savory, and lacking a touch of fruit, the 2011 Domaine de Tara Côtes du Ventoux Terre d‟Ocres, a blend of Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah, takes some coaxing, but gives up notions of strawberry, loamy earth, and wild herbs on the nose. This medium bodied, lightly textured effort is better on the palate, where it has an easy, clean, and fresh character, as well as good grip on the finish. Improving in the glass and overall easy and gulpable, it should be enjoyed over the coming 2-3 years.” (85 pts.)

Our mellow wine has a great review in Cote Magazine !

“Below the village of Roussillon the harvest takes place in November, when the sugar in the grapes has reached a high concentration. This pure Merlot red has notes of blackcurrant and rather ripe strawberry. A delicious harmony with the lemon of the Rencontre, which reveals all its freshness in response. The developing aromas of prune, coffee and cocoa are surprising. They enhance the milk chocolate and bring out the hazelnut flavour in force.”

Le domaine de Tara winner in the Dussert et Gerbert 2013 Wine Guide !
Top Selection of the Rhone Valley Wines

“The hearts throb of the year. The winners make genuine wines which usually are up to the top selection of their appellation.”

Le Domaine de Tara in the Petit Futé guide 2012
Guide des Vins Le Petit Futé 2012

“A lovely “mas” set in the village of Roussillon, in the Rhone Valley wine region. The Domaine de Tara with 11 hectares of vines and which was entirely restructured 20 years ago has been producing AOP Ventoux wines since 1973. The wines are genuine and distinctive. The vines and the soil as well as the vinification process are subjected to careful and creative attention, respectful of the work of nature. This enables a number of different “cuvées”: the “Terre d’Ocres” cuvée in the three colours, very fruity, and the “Hautes Pierres” cuvée red and white, powerful on the palate.”
